Ability Develops Early
One of the key aspects of Suzuki Method philosophy is the belief that ability develops early, and this week a wonderful example of this was celebrated by families attending a Music at Heart Early Years session when baby Edwin started singing along to the 'Daily Do' song, a regular feature of the classes. Edwin has been attending Early Years classes in utero since conception, as his mum has been bringing his three-year old brother for some time. This week, 12 weeks after birth, Edwin joined us in his own right to continue his musical journey.
As soon as we started to sing the song, Edwin, in his mum's arms, opened his mouth and vocalised along with us - he wasn't crying, he didn't have wind (!) and he stopped when the music was at an end, happy and contented. We all jumped for joy.
